Dharamshala, India — The second Dialogue between Russian and Buddhist Scholars - "Understanding the World", was attended by about 150 observers including 75 Russians, 18 Tibetan Buddhist monks who have experience of studying science, and over 100 guests and students from various Tibetan institutions and schools based in Dharamshala, India.
New Delhi, India — 'We are all mentally, physically and emotionally the same. We all want to live a happy, joyful life and scientists say that experiments show that basic human nature is compassionate,' His Holiness the Dalai Lama said, adding: "When you’re warm-hearted, your physical health improves, whereas if you’re constantly full of hatred and anger it undermines your immune system.”
Dharamshala — “What we’re trying to do here is to educate people, to show them that the real way we’re going to become happy individuals, living in happy families and communities is to become more warm-hearted towards each other. We need more loving kindness," His Holiness the Dalai Lama said as the Mind & Life conference commenced for its third and fourth sessions on March 14 and 15.
Dharamshala, India - “Today, the world is faced by a crisis of emotions and I believe the ancient Indian knowledge of the workings of the mind can be of great value in tackling them. I came to realize how valuable this knowledge could be for achieving peace of mind," His Holiness the Dalai Lama said while explaining it also requires self-confidence and determination, for which it’s important to be honest and truthful.
